It’s about to get gooey! Let’s add some slime to your alien.
Slimy animals and plants may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but they are fascinating in their own way! Take snails, for example – they produce mucus to help them move and protect their delicate bodies. And have you ever heard of hagfish? They are eel-like creatures that produce slime as a defense mechanism, clogging the gills of potential predators. Most frogs have slimy skin, which allows them to stay moist and helps them breathe through their skin. There are also slimy plants out there, like aloe vera, which has a slimy sap that’s great for soothing burns. And let’s not forget slime moulds, which are essentially very simple, slimy brains. What function may slime play in the life of your alien?
